Banglalink partners with Google to facilitate youth employment through Kormo Jobs

TV24 DESK: Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications providers in the country, has entered a strategic partnership with Kormo Jobs by Google, a jobs and career development app, to facilitate youth employment. An announcement on the partnership was made today by Erik Aas, Chief Executive Officer, Banglalink at a virtual press conference, which was also joined by Bickey Russel, Operations Leadon Google’s Next Billion Users initiative team.

Mustafa Jabbar, Honorable Posts and Telecommunications Minister joined the virtual event as the Chief Guest. Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink, Gaurav Kakkar, Digital Business Director, Banglalink, Ankit Sureka, Head of Corporate Communications & Sustainability, Banglalink were also present at the virtual event.

Under this partnership, Banglalink is hosting kiosks for Kormo Jobs at its customer centers in Dhaka and Chittagong. At the kiosks, Kormo representatives will assist job-seekers in finding employment opportunities and accessing learning resources through the Kormo Jobs app. Kormo Jobs will also hold regular training sessions on CV writing, interview tips, and other topics on jobs search as part of the initiative.
