BHTPA’s 14 new projects to create skilled youth in the hands of the youth

New 14 projects of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park for employment of the youth of the country are going forward.

TV24 Desk: The greatest Bengali of all time, the architect of independent Bangladesh and father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who had a dream of creating Sonar Bangla, has had it successfully implemented by his privileged daughter, the visionary of Digital Bangladesh 2021, the dreamer of Digital Bangladesh, and the architect of modern Bangladesh, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hsina. In continuation of this, the work has already started with the aim of building a cost-effective, sustainable, intelligent, innovative, and knowledge-based ‘Smart Bangladesh’ by 2041 under the overall guidance of the Information and Communication Technology Advisor to the Honorable Prime Minister and Architect of Digital Bangladesh, Sajib Wazed Joy. In that continuation, the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center project is being implemented in 14 new districts as his brainchild project.

Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center is being built on more than 44 acres of land in 14 districts with the aim of creating young entrepreneurs in the country and creating employment for the young generation of the country by 2041. In these centers established under the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, at least secondary-level students will be developed as skilled manpower in IT and ITES and will be supported to create employment opportunities for them.

“Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center” is being set up as per the instructions of the Hon’ble Prime Minister with the aim of developing every skilled human resource in the country. The project “Establishment of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center (14)” was approved in the 15th Ecnec meeting held on May 10, 2022, under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. The project has been initiated by the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority. The districts under this project include Narail, Habiganj, Sunamganj, Tangail, Dhaka (Nawabganj), Gopalganj, Sherpur, Gaibandha, Panchagarh, Thakurgaon, Nilphamari, Noakhali, Feni, and Patuakhali. Desha Varanya Architect Rafiq Azam has designed all the infrastructure of the project to be modern, attractive, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient, including the incubation building. Under his design and supervision, the construction work is ongoing while maintaining all the quality standards of the project. Construction work has already started in Narail, Dhaka (Nawabganj), and Habiganj districts. The work in Tangail, Gaibandha, Sunamganj, and Patuakhali districts will start by next December.

The construction work of the project “Establishment of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center (14)” under the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority under the Department of Information and Communication Technology is scheduled to be completed in June 2027, but all the works of the Tarun Management project currently in charge of the project are ahead of schedule. The managing director of the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority said that all plans for completion have been accepted.

The Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, GSM Jafarullah Ndc, said each of these 14 Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centers adopted by us will create employment for 1000 people and 100 entrepreneurs, Inshallah.

The Setting up of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centers (14),” if implemented, will create employment opportunities for the unemployed and young people of the country as well as the startup eco-system of the country. On the other hand, it is expected that the trained population will play an outstanding role in the construction of Smart Bangladesh, along with getting the benefits of the city as announced by the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
