TV24 Desk: Global Fame Awards 2021 arranged by VKonnect Star took place at Holiday Inn, Rajarhat, Kolkata on 15th December 2021. An young entrepreneur, Sagor Costa from Bangladesh has received an award for the Best BPO & IT Firm directly from the hands of bollywood actress, Bipasha Basu. This is an honour for the country.
Sagor Costa (27) started his international call center job right after passing his higher secondary certificate. He worked in DTX Business Solutions, SkyTech Solutions etc from 2014 to 2017. Later he took freelancing as his career and two of his friends joined him as colleagues. Gradually, the work load got higher and Sagor needed to setup two different rooms for getting the work done. He took an office and got licensed as 24/7 Virtual Assistants by the end of 2017. Today he has an office of 2,000 square feet with 25 employees working for the company. From a personal interview, Sagor says, “When I started, my plan was to make the living of my widowed mother and elder sister. But I felt great when I realized I could do much better. The revenue of our company, 24/7 Virtual Assistants exceeded $300,000 USD in the last 4 years. I was just a representative for the award, this award goes to each individual who worked with us, who have been working with us and our families who support us to work at night. We have already set up a US company and another private limited company recently as we are growing rapidly. In the beginning, we had no air conditioners, no desk to sit on and now we have extra smoking rooms! I have a plan to have over 100 employees in the next 2 years.”
Global Fame Awards 2021 made a recognition for Sagor Costa and 24/7 Virtual Assistants globally. Sagor and his friends saw the success together. Though they are not working in the same company anymore, the company has got more trustworthy, responsible and smart colleagues who have been working for years in the company.
Sagor also says, “Achieving this award seems a game changer to me. We all earn well in the company but we were not recognized properly. Through this award, people of Bangladesh and abroad know the name of 24/7 Virtual Assistants, Bangladesh. I am too proud of my team. We never had any lack of work but we do need more people willing to work at night and fluent in English speaking and listening. We are located in Baridhara J Block. We have a lot of interested people reaching out to us but when they hear that we work at night shifts, they lose their interest.”
To work with US companies, Sagor did not sleep at night for the last seven (7) years. Employees have an office time of 8-9 hours where entrepreneurs do not have any fixed working hours. Sagor and his team have proved that passion creates great examples.
