TV24 Report: Daffodil Computers Limited (DCL) will produce manufacture Laptop in the country now. In this regard a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on September 30, 2021 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital. Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Group CEO of Daffodil Family and Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
According to the MoU Daffodil Computers Limited (DCL) has been allotted a plot of.96 acres of land in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech Park at Kaliakair, Gazipur for next 40 years. DCL will create employment for at least 1000 people by investing 30 million US dollars in this land. The company will assemble and manufactur Laptop, IT and electronics goods here.
Planning Minister MA Mannan, MP was present as the chief guest at the MoU signing ceremony while State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP was present as the special guest. NM Ziaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Division, Dr. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director of the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Jafar Ahmed Patwary, General Manager, Jahir Ahmed, Deputy General Manager, Md. Abdur Rob, AGM and Monir Hossain, Company Secretary of Daffodil Computers Limited were present at the MoU Signing Ceremony.
