Tv24 Desk: The fourth edition of ‘Glaxose-D Dhaka Half Marathon 2021’ ended on 21 February (Sunday). The organizers have informed that the winners’ name will be announced soon.

Runners participate in this year’s marathon through a virtual platform. Around 3,200 athletes from home and abroad took part in the marathon while maintaining distance from their respective areas without coming to the specific venue. This year’s marathon is held in two segments- a 21.1 km Half Marathon and a 7.5 km Run.

Just like last year, the title sponsor for Dhaka Half Marathon 2021 is Glaxose-D from Unilever Consumer Care Limited. Sheltech group was the Co-Sponsor for the event. The gold sponsors for the event were Apex Footwear Limited, Polar Ice Cream and Dabur Honey. Spice FM 96.4 was the Radio partner for the event and community partner was BDRunners and this event was included AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races).

Speaking at the press conference on 15 February, Syed Mustyen Quader, Brand Manager Unilever Consumer care limited said, “Dhaka Half Marathon, over the years, has helped to revolutionize the running scene in the country and has inspired many people to stay fit and embrace a healthy lifestyle. Glaxose-D from Unilever Consumer Care Ltd. is proud to be the Title Sponsor of the Dhaka Half Marathon for the second year in a row. Both the brands from the house of Unilever Consumer Care Limited wish the very best to all the participants of Dhaka Half Marathon 2021, he added.
