TV24 DESK: Short video creation and sharing platform Likee has recentlyachieved a major milestone of becoming the most downloaded free app on the android platform in Bangladesh, leaving popular apps such as Facebook behind.
According to rankings by App Annie, mobile data and analytics platform, on February 20 and February 21Likeebecame the most downloaded free app on android platform in Bangladesh.
Joy, Likee’s Head of Operations in Bangladesh, shared, “In the wake of the digital revolution currently underway in Bangladesh, we want to do our bit by letting everyone shine in their own way. And our hard work is paying off as we have recently become the most downloaded free app on the android platform. This atteststo the fact that people in Bangladesh love Likee and are connecting through the platform.”
Other apps to feature in the top ten positions include Facebook Lite, WhatsApp Messenger, Nagad, and Ridmik Keyboard.
It is mentionable that Likee Bangladesh has always been committed to facilitating the youth with a platform that will inspire self-expression in fun, innovative, and amiable ways. To that end, Likee launched different hashtag challenges last year to encourage the youth to reveal their latent talent in a positive way.
