Start-ups urged to focus co-creation

TV24 report: Experts have called upon the youths to focus co-creation in building start-ups to promote cooperative movement in society.

Speakers also emphasized cooperative society eradicating the problem of unemployment while addressing a conference at a city hotel on Saturday, said a news release.
BacBon Limited and NPO e-Education Japan jointly organized the conference styled ‘society co-creation to raise the voice of cooperative society for Bangladesh from a global perspective.

Representatives from 100 international companies, investors, startups with innovative ideas, academicians, and policymakers from Japan and Bangladesh participated in the day-long program.

Event organiser BacBon managing director Maheen Matin made address of welcome while conference began with a session on the power of co-creation and social innovation.

Hitotsubashi University Professor Emeritus Seiichiro Yonekura of Euglena President Mitsuru Izumo, UNDP Accelerator Lab head of exploration MM Zimran Khan, Bank Asia former managing director Arfan Ali, Marubeni Corporation country head Hikari Kawai took part in the discussion.

Chief executive of e-Education Kaito Miwa, Grameen Euglena CEO Yukoh Satake, NewVision Solutions managing director Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun), Ekmattra Entrepreneurs founder and chairman Shubhashish Roy and Matrighor Limited managing director MA Mannan shared insights at the second session on real partnerships beyond the border.

TNY Legal Bangladesh Director Saori Fujimoto, Smart Technologies Director Shahed Kamal, Brain Station founder and CEO Raisul Kabir, Bdjobs CEO Fahim Mashroor, and Hishab Technologies founder Zubair Ahmed shared the secrets to becoming an entrepreneur through global business.

The fourth session highlighted the process to achieve social impact through co-creation in participation with JETRO Bangladesh president Yuji Ando, Bangladesh Bank former governor Dr Atiur Rahman, Educational Technology Programme founding director Prof Badrul Khan, Padeco Limited consultant Yuki Ohashi and BASIS director AKM Ahmedul Islam Babu.

Some promising startups — Airwrk, iPage, MedEasy, onnow.io, sohopathi, Intelligent Machines, Lilac, and Print me Yellow participated in a pitch deck session to win a total of 17 thousand US dollars in prize money. The iPAGE chief executive officer Mashrur H Shurid secured the first prize worth ten thousand dollar in the competition.
