The official campaign for the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) Bangladesh 2025 was inaugurated today through a vibrant ‘Meet the Press’ event held at Daffodil Plaza, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. The event was jointly organized by Daffodil International University and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Bangladesh.
The program was presided over by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of GEN Bangladesh and Daffodil International University. In his address, Dr. Khan highlighted the transformative potential of innovation for Bangladesh’s future, stating, “Innovation will build the Bangladesh of the future. And the Entrepreneurship World Cup is the first step to realizing that dream.”
The Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) is recognized as one of the world’s largest and most prestigious startup pitch competitions, offering participants the opportunity to present their innovative ideas and business models for a chance to secure a share of USD 3 million in prizes and investment opportunities. For the 2025 edition, Bangladeshi startups will be selected across three categories: Idea Stage, Early Stage, and Growth Stage.
Speakers at the event underscored the significant opportunity EWC presents for Bangladesh’s startup ecosystem, enabling entrepreneurs to connect with global investors, mentors, and technology leaders.
GEN Bangladesh, Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited, KnowledgeVale, and the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University are serving as the national hosts for EWC Bangladesh 2025. International partners supporting the competition include Microsoft, NEOM, and Monshaat.
